Get To Know Me
Hi, I’m Melissa Petersen - the heart behind Honey B Photography! 💛
I'm a Wisconsin-based natural light photographer specializing in seniors, couples, and families. Photography started as a creative outlet for me - something I always loved - and over time, it's grown into something so much more: a way to connect with people and tell their stories in the most honest, beautiful way I know how.
Before I became a photographer, I was a teacher. I've always had a passion for working with kids, and now, as a stay-at-home mama myself, I know firsthand how quickly time moves! That's why I'm so passionate about capturing the in-between moments - the ones that don't feel posed or perfect, but real and full of heart.
My style is warm, natural, and relaxed. I use soft, golden light and simple direction to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera. Whether it's the excitement of a senior stepping into their next chapter, the quiet connection between a couple, or the energy and chaos of family life, I want your photos to feel like you - genuine, beautiful, and true to your story!
When you book with me, you're not just getting photos. You're getting a laid back, friendly experience with someone who's cheering you on and capturing the real stuff - the giggles, the snuggles, the love!
Thanks so much for being here! I'd love to connect and help you freeze this season in time - because it's worth remembering.
📸 You’re here because time is moving fast - and you want to hold onto a moment before it slips away.
Maybe it’s your senior year, full of excitement and big dreams. Maybe your family is growing and changing, and you want to freeze this season while it’s still here. Maybe you and your person are writing a love story that deserves to be remembered forever.
Whatever brought you to this page, I’m so glad you’re here!
You’re not just looking for photos - you’re looking for something that feels real. Something that takes you back to this time, this season, this feeling.
And that’s exactly what I love to do!
Let’s tell your story in a way that’s honest, beautiful, and true to you - so you can remember not just what it looked like, but what it felt like. 🫶🏼
